The Systemex Automation team was responsible for the configuration and programming of the new Phostech Lithium plant in Candiac. The total project budget was $80 million. The facility produces the material used in the new generation of lithium ion batteries (cellular, laptop, camera, etc.). The primary scope of work consisted of the configuration of a central control system and the integration of 15 sub-systems provided by manufacturers with more than 3,500 data connections. This project significantly strengthens Systemex Automation's position as a key player for the integration of Distributed Control Systems considering that so few companies in Quebec have experience in this area.
